Yora + Google Drive, AI that reads the documents you care about

The short answer

The Yora Google Drive integration uses Google OAuth to let Yora search your Drive, read Docs / Sheets / Slides / PDFs, and pull the relevant passage into the conversation, with no copy-paste.

What it does

Semantic search across your Drive. Ask in plain language. Yora searches by meaning, not just file name. "What did Sara propose for the Berlin trip" returns the right doc even if the file is called "Q2 trip planning v3".

Reads Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, PDFs. Native parsing for Google's own formats and PDFs up to 50 pages. Larger PDFs are chunked and summarised with citations back to the page.

Lives in memory. Files Yora has read get summarised and added to memory automatically when relevant. Next time you ask, Yora already knows what's in them.

Per-file privacy. You choose which folders Yora can see. Default is "shared with me" only, no access to your private personal folders unless you opt in.

How it connects

OAuth via your Google account. One click, scoped to read-only Drive metadata + file content. Tokens stored encrypted in Supabase EU. Revoke anytime from Google account settings or from inside Yora at /settings → Integrations.

What people ask

Does Yora upload my files?

No. Files stay in Drive. Yora reads them on demand and may store short text summaries in memory if they are referenced repeatedly.

Can Yora write to Drive?

Read-only at launch. Write access (creating new docs, editing) is on the v2 roadmap behind an explicit per-action prompt.

Does Yora support shared drives?

Yes. Shared drives and folders shared with you are searchable. The folder owner's permissions are respected.

Which file types does it read?

Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, plain text, Markdown, PDFs up to 50 pages. Images return the link, not OCR (yet).

What about Microsoft OneDrive or Dropbox?
